Patio Paving Redbourn

Ideally you want something that needs minimal cleaning and maintenance, that will look as good as the day it was bought for years to come. For modern designs that have a clean finish, choose porcelain paving as these slabs provide a smooth, contemporary style that won’t fade with age and are perfect for garden gatherings.

Concrete patio slabs are typically one of the least expensive to build. Assuming proper installation and maintenance, they are one of the most durable, too, though like brick, concrete is subject to cracking with freeze-thaw cycles.

A good rule of thumb for your Redbourn patio is to plan on 2 square metres of space for each person you want to have on the patio. If you plan to host 50 people, that would mean you should plan for about 100m². 15 people would be 30m². For comfortable entertaining, shoot for a minimum of 50m².

Costs will vary depending on several factors such as the materials you choose for your patio, the size of patio you wish installed, any necessary base work and extras such as edging, steps or drainage. No two projects are the same. Please contact us and we will be happy to provide a free on-site survey and quote.

Porcelain slabs are an excellent material for outdoor applications for several reasons. All porcelain tiles have a water absorption rate of less than 0.5%, making them stain and weather resistant. Because they absorb almost no water, they won’t crack in freezing conditions like other materials.
